Overview
Experience the raw beauty of Patagonia on this trek of the famed “W” circuit of Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. You will hike the Ascencio Valley on the way to the Base Torres viewpoint and then the French Valley, and cross Lake Pehoe by catamaran to enjoy the majestic Cuernos del Paine mountains. At the end of every day of the trek, you will return to Hotel Las Torres to rest in the hotel’s comfortable accommodations. The tour also includes a city tour of Santiago and a visit to a vineyard in the Maipo Valley outside of the city.
Lodging and Meals: This tour includes accommodations for 6 nights (2 nights in Santiago, 4 nights in Torres del Paine), and 13 meals (6 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 4 dinners).

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Santiago.
Depart to Santiago via overnight flight.
Day 2: Santiago.
After passing through immigration and customs, proceed to the reception area, where our inbound services representative will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will be greeted and then transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Santiago.
Note: Check-in time is 2:00 PM. We can request early check-in but cannot guarantee it.
Day 3: Santiago-City Tour-Winery Tour.
In the morning, you will have a panoramic city tour of Santiago, which will include Parque O’Higgins, Plaza de Armas (the city’s historic center), Palacio de la Moneda, ex-National Congress, Mapocho Station Cultural Center, Santa Lucia Hill, the place of Santiago’s founding in 1541, and the Bohemian district of Bellavista. In the afternoon, you will visit Concha y Torro winery. Overnight in Santiago. (B)
Day 4: Santiago-Punta Arenas-Torres del Paine.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, you will be taken from the airport by van (+/- five hours of travel time) to Torres del Paine. En route (after traveling for two hours), you will visit the Cerro Negro cattle ranch and see first-hand the lifestyle of the settlers at the end of the world and roam around the beautiful colonial house. Depending on the time of arrival, the visit will include a traditional Magallanes-style barbeque. Overnight at Hotel Las Torres. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Torres del Paine-Hike to Base Torres Viewpoint.
Your day will begin with a gentle ascent through the Patagonian pampa, which starts to steepen as you enter the Ascencio Valley until reaching Los Vientos Pass, with spectacular panoramic views of the landscape and the surrounding lakes. You will continue walking through the Chileno Sector, through a forest of native lenga trees, approaching the final stretch of the day’s adventure. This part of the journey is about a one-hour hike over rocky terrain, flanked by enormous moraines. At the end, you will find one of the most breathtaking views of the three iconic granite towers and their glacial lake below. Overnight at Hotel Las Torres. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Torres del Paine-French Valley.
Day 3 of the trek begins with a catamaran trip on the turquoise waters of Lake Pehoé, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
On reaching the other side, you will begin a delightful hike to Francés Valley. Along the way you will enjoy the serenity of the forests, streams, and glaciers, and be enchanted by the shape and colors of the majestic Cuernos del Paine mountains.
The grand finale of the hike is like no other: a scenic viewpoint with incredible views of the Francés Glacier and the rest of the Paine Massif. Overnight at Hotel Las Torres. (B,L,D)
10-12 hours / 20 km; Elevation gain 700 meters; Difficulty level high.
Day 7: Torres del Paine-Grey Glacier Viewpoint.
The day begins traveling by van from east to west along the main road of the national park until reaching the Grey Sector. After a 45-minute walk along the shores of Lake Grey, you will set off by boat for the Grey Mountain Hostel, about 50 minutes away, where you will be able to see icebergs and a complete view of the lake’s ecosystem, as well as a large part of the Grey Glacier. Once on land you will head to a panoramic viewpoint of the glacier’s first face, which is about 30 meters high. You will see different mountains such as Cordón Olguin (2,100 m / 6,900 ft) and Paine Grande (3,050 m / 10,000 ft), where you will have a clear view of the hanging glaciers that cascade down from the mountain top. Next, you will head towards the Paine Grande Hostel, about 13 kilometers from the viewpoint. On the route, you will see different species of flora and fauna that live in the park, as well as views of the lake and the glacier from high altitudes. After approximately 4 hours, you will arrive at the Paine Grande sector, where you will take another boat to cross the famous Lake Pehoé, admiring the Paine Mountain Range in all its splendor. Finally, after 45 minutes on the main road, you will arrive at the Hotel to enjoy its amenities. Overnight at Hotel Las Torres. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Torres del Paine-Punta Arenas-Santiago.
Before leaving on your last day, enjoy a stroll around the hotel, visit the biointensive vegetable garden or the horse stables, take photos of the magnificent landscapes, and soak up the feeling of breathing in pure Patagonian nature. Transfer from Torres del Paine to the airport in Punta Arenas for your return flight to Santiago and your final destination. (B)

Group Private: All airport transfers in Santiago are private, and the city tour and vineyard tour in Santiago are private for 4 Star, 5 Star, and Deluxe accommodation levels. All services in Punta Arenas and Torres del Paine are operated on a small group basis.
Elevations: Santiago is 1,700 feet above sea level, Torres del Paine National Park elevations can reach 4,000 feet or more, depending upon your itinerary.
Passport/Visa: U.S., Canadian, UK, and EU citizens require a valid passport for at least six months from the date of entry, sufficient funds, and a return ticket. Upon entry, you will be issued a Tourist Card (Tarjeta de Turismo) valid for up to 90 days which you can extend for another 90-day period by paying $100 USD at the Chilean Immigration Office. You must return the Tourist Card upon departure. Citizens of other countries are advised to contact the Chilean embassy in their country before traveling.

To Book This Trip: We require a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 for single accommodations, $800 per person for double accommodations, and $750 per person for double accommodations, plus the cost of the airfare (if we arrange it for you). The balance of the trip cost is due 60 days prior to departure.
