Overview
Intimate, elegant, and luxurious, Mara Ngenche Safari Camp lies in the heart of the Maasai Mara, hidden away in a ravine forest at the confluence of the Mara and Talek rivers. The camp overlooks a busy hippo pool, with these beautiful large animals and crocodiles often within sight. The unfenced camp is designed to allow the exciting movement of animals through the grounds. Guests further explore the surrounding Maasai Mara on thrilling safaris guided by qualified expert local Maasai guides in open-sided 4WD vehicles with a maximum of six guests per vehicle.
Tents
Each of the 12 spacious and well-appointed ensuite tents is partially enclosed in its own boma for a sense of privacy and security. Just a handful of guests have the privilege of basking in old-world-style tents accented by modern African décor, beautiful river views, a four-poster king bed or two queens, a private plunge pool, a large bathtub, and an outdoor shower.
Amenities
Even outside of the Great Migration season, when thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and other game cross the savannah on their annual journey, there is much to see around Mara Ngenche Safari Camp. Dedicated guides and a flexible daily program reveal local wildlife on game drives, safari walks, and, if requested, a hot-air balloon ride.
Guests have access to a spacious, open-sided dining and lounge area to maximize views, WiFi, a spa, 240V/50Hz charging facilities in the lounge, private bush breakfast and dinners, picnic lunches, sundowners, cultural visits to the local Maasai village, lectures on Maasai culture by the resident naturalist, and performances by local Maasai warriors.
