Strategically located in the wilds of Chile’s vast Torres del Paine National Park, on the shores of placid Lake Pehoé, the Explora Patagonia Hotel takes you right to the heart of Patagonia, with a stunning vista of the Salto Chico waterfall and the twin granite towers that give the park its name. Trekking, horseback riding, hiking, fishing: a host of outdoor activities are just steps away, allowing you to use the hotel as a base camp for your explorations into the UNESCO biosphere reserve that surrounds you.

The Explora Patagonia isn’t like other hotels. With its on-site stable of 26 horses and resident horse trainer, as well as its proximity to the Estancia 2 de Enero, it allows you to experience Chile’s equestrian traditions and traditional gaucho culture up close. Moreover, the gorgeous wood construction makes the hotel an organic outgrowth of the landscape around it.
