Overview
Strategically located atop a kopje hill overlooking the Tarangire River and the Silale valley, the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge is nestled deep within the national park. The area is famous for being visited by a variety of wildlife throughout the year, depending on the availability of water in the Silale swamp, and noted for its preponderance of baobab trees.
Tents
Set at the baobab tree line, 25 luxury tents are elegantly appointed with premium bedding, an ensuite bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower and a private verandah for the perfect vantage point. The rooms have been designed to provide optimum 180-degree views, allowing guests to connect with wildlife from the privacy and comfort of their hideaway. The eco-conscious lodge is solar powered, providing 24-hour electricity.
Amenities
The lodge’s main pavilion area is built within the kopje rocks, with lounges, viewing decks, a fireplace, a swimming pool. All meals and beverage options are provided in an open-concept dining area and bar. Boma dinners, private dinners on the tent deck, breakfast in bed, bush lunches and more are all easily arranged.
Activities include game drives, hot-air balloon safaris, Swahili lessons, Maasai cultural immersion and storytelling around the fireplace.
