Overview
The Seaventure not only takes on icy polar waters; it masters them. With its 1-A Super ice-class rating – the highest ice class awarded to passenger vessels – the polar cruise ship can nimbly access the coves, bays and channels of Antarctica, Iceland and Greenland.
Simply because one is exploring the far reaches of the earth need not mean a sparse experience. Seaventure offers world-class cuisine and live entertainment, a complimentary coffee/tea station, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a dedicated passenger service manager, a voyage photographer, and medical personnel and facilities.
With an average cruising speed of 13.5 knots, Seaventure gets where she needs to go quicker, and thanks to a state-of-the-art stabilizing system, she gets there more smoothly. It all adds up to less sailing time and more time at the destination for exploring. Originally built for 180 guests, Seaventure sails with a maximum of 139 guests, ensuring more breathing room for all.
Cabins
The ship’s spacious, sleekly designed cabins are appointed with neutral color palettes, warm wood tones and clean-lined furnishings. Each offers exterior views, a sitting area with chairs or a sofa and table, a complimentary minibar, a flat-screen television, a telephone, safe, independent temperature controls, a hairdryer and luxury toiletries.
Common Areas
Seaventure becomes one’s home for the duration of a polar expedition and, as such, is designed with comfort and class in mind. The common areas are larger than on other polar-cruising ships, and beautifully appointed. The ship offers two kitchens, one of which is on the lido deck for outdoor dining when the weather permits. When dining inside, large picture windows frame spectacular views.
Passengers have access to a variety of deck spaces with wide expanses of windows in every gathering space, a sauna, a fitness center, a custom-built citizen science lab for curious passengers and a library with computers. All passenger decks are served by two elevators.
Ample storage space allows the ship to carry more equipment, translating to more activities for passengers, such as kayaking excursions and camping onshore.
