Overview
Cradled in the Urubamba Valley, just 60 minutes from Cuzco, the Sol y Luna Lodge Spa was founded on a philosophy of respect for nature and the local cultures of Peru. This luxury boutique inn is made up of 43 rustic adobe bungalows connected by stone walkways and decorated with colorful Peruvian folk art. The cozy fireplaces and cheerful flowers surrounding the cabins will make you feel right at home.
Founded in 1996 by the husband-and-wife team of Franz Schilter and Marie Helen Miribel, the spa complex provides a unique lodging experience that reflects the couple’s love for Peru and its culture. Not only do the owners work closely with local artisans to provide their guests with premium-quality Peruvian food and other handicrafts, but a sizeable portion of the spa’s proceeds go to help the schools of the Urubamba region.
