La Quinta Sarapiqui Country Inn

La Quinta Sarapiqui Country Inn, Sarapiqui, Costa Rica

Overview

La Quinta Sarapiquí Country Inn embodies the beauty and resilience of the rainforest itself. Started in 1993, in a rural expanse north of Braulio Carrillo National Park, this small family business was originally set on a cattle farm stripped of its trees and natural vegetation. Careful tending has allowed its owners to restore the damaged ecosystem, thus transforming the grounds into a lush tropical garden.

Today the La Quinta Sarapiquí co-exists harmoniously with nature in all its aspects. Its ten acres include a reforested area with native trees, old-growth woods along the Sarapaquí River, a thatched-roof spa, tracts of wild flowers, a frog pond, and a butterfly house. Practically anything will grow in this environment, making the humid rainforest a paradise for the eco-tourist. Best of all, the lodge has never lost touch with its family roots. Immediately upon your arrival, you’ll feel that special warmth that comes with being, as Costa Ricans say, en familia.
