Overview

Set in the Resurrection River Valley surrounded by wildflowers and the spruce trees of Chugach National Forest, in the shadow of staggering mountain peaks, Seward Windsong Lodge feels miles away and yet is just minutes from downtown Seward. Guests enjoy a perfect blend of remote retreat and everyday Alaska life, with a free shuttle provided between town and the lodge. Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park are nearby, beckoning with their natural splendor and abundant wildlife. Serving as a gateway to Alaska’s untamed beauty, Windsong Lodge offers guests contemporary, Alaska-inspired accommodations and comforts while providing easy access to adventure.

Rooms

Guest rooms and suites sleep up to five people and each feature two queen beds, a private bathroom, a hair dryer, a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a flat-screen television, a telephone, complimentary WiFi, Alaska-style log furniture, and in some accommodations, an outdoor balcony or sitting area. Traditional suites offer an open layout and extra-long twin trundle bed separated by a half-wall for added privacy, while Premium Deck Suites have a spacious living area and larger bathroom than other rooms.

Amenities

Fuel up for adventure at Windsong’s Resurrection Roadhouse with a hearty breakfast buffet or a la carte options. In the evening, a tide-to-table dinner menu features fresh seafood, seasonal sides and an award-winning wine list, all served up alongside beautiful views of the Resurrection River. The Goliath Bar & Grill offers casual fare, pizza and craft beer. The Mt. Hunter Coffee Co. is open in the main lobby in the morning for takeaway breakfast items and coffee.

The Lodge is ideally situated for exploring the Exit Glacier, which spills down from the Harding Ice Field to the river. There are a variety of walking trails through the alders and rock outcroppings of the blue ice mass, including the Overlook Loop Trail and the Nature Trail. The Windsong Lodge staff can answer any questions you may have about a glacier outing.
