San Pedro de Atacama is a small oasis village near the border with Bolivia that offers an excellent base to view Chile's best archaeological sites, and Easter Island is known for its colossal stone Moai statues whose origin is still a mystery.
The Chilean Lake District offers breathtaking views of snow capped volcanoes, glacial lakes, and ancient forests. It is the launching point for trips to the Island of Chiloe, cruises to Southern Patagonia, and lake crossings to quaint Andean mountain villages.
